But im sure all of us have some fond memories of the times we spent together as a class. I sure do have many! Well i dare to say we were the most united class last year, and hopefully we will bring that spirit of us to our new classes this year! Hi everyone, this is important because welfare have decided to postpone the class party for good, it will be around december (which i don know if i can attend)

The following are the reasons why:
1) there are too little response from you girls and so far we only understand that 8 people are going.

2) the location is unavailable.

3) There are too little sponsers.

We're sorry. But anyway, anyone would like to collect their class teeshirt? Im making tomorrow one of the dates for anyone to collect, give me a call and tell me who wants. remember, 3 to 4 people would be good. And i'll try to make it at any mrt station.

SUP JUSTICE!
alright, since there are alot of confusion about the class party thing, here's some answers to satisfy your wrecked nerves.

When is the exact date of the class party?
It is currently set on Wednesday 18 november till further notice, this date was set according to those who has placed their votes thus, people who havent place their votes werent counted in, so keep your ears alert as things may end up differently! :D

Where is it held?
Since it was said above not alot of people voted, we wouldnt know who's going and who's not, so there isn't a fix venue. If there half a class and less, we might consider outdoor places like east coast. Otherwise, it will be at someone's function room eg. sandra's.

What time is it?
Its at 2.30 to around 7~( depending how many games are planned)
Why is that so?
This is because welfare has acknowledged the fact that some CCAs are still conducting sessions especially track which ends at 1 plus. Also, if you have any other personal events and it clashes with the timing, do try to come for this even for a while! But do contact us and tell us if youre coming later.

What are we doing?
Well, we'll try planning new games in case youre getting bored of the old ones. (this is the case of indoor) Outdoors would be settled if thats the case.
(ps, please introduce new games to us, we would gladly welcome them! Keep your suggestions flowing!)

Do we have to bring an extra set of clothes?
Well, thats if we are having water bomb session right? so..
WHO'S INTO THAT IDEA??

I think i'm capable of sponsering us food!(finger food would be fine)
Like i said before, whats a party without food and drinks? Well, drinks can be bought easily so we would appreciate more food( and do tell us what food youre bringing, we wouldnt want people bring the same thing, imagining eating only sausages-.-)

If im not going, how about my class tee?
Alright, here's a answer that will satisfy you of your class tee craze, if you cannot make it, you can contact Julia(the shirts are with me) and fix a date, in groups of 3 to 4 people would be nice. it could be before your cca? YOU pick your time, i'll try to be flexible.

hey peeps! ok the class party will probably be on a saturday as it is the best posibility and because on Monday,Wednesday and Friday are the sports CCAs and Tues and Thurs there's clubs and societies like dance and choir.I know some of you guys can't make it on a sat but pleeeeaassseee beg your parents because this will be the LAST gathering as a CLASS.Would you guys mind having the class party at East Coast Park? we can have a BBQ or a picnic there and we can rent the bikes and the rollerblades and of course there will be games organised.So please respond and give us your opinion if having the class party at East Coast is ok or if you guys want to change the location. Hey!!! Today is the first day of our school hoildays!! I woke up at 5am today and thought I was running late! Anyway, I can't wait for a class party!!!! And Beatrice's work of memoria certainly was touching and not mention had manny unglam photos of Justicians. (When did Delia have a fringe?) Oh, I have a suggestion!!!!!

Melisa's suggestion: Maybe the welfare comm could check with the class first and see who is going on holiday on when and from there you all would be able to pick a date that most ppl will be able to attend!!!

Ok, that's that. And I'm really happy to see that the blog is much more livly than compared to when school had not ended -.- Oh and I really hope that we won't get the class tee on 25th Nov 'cause I can't go!!!! And I REALLY WANT MY CLASS TEE :(

Maybe if you all want, Serene and I might be able to have the class party at our function room though it's less furnished than Sandra's house but it's really big!!! And the guards sleep their butts off so hardly any trouble. And the room is kind of soundproof so you all can scream your head off too!! There's a kitchen and those who want to bake, I think there's a oven or microwave but there's a sink!! I feel like I'm advertising :)

Hey Everyone! :D Looking at our blog, seems like the welfare comm has contributed many posts lately! hahas(: well, hope you would look forward for the year end class party, and our motto is to make it the most memorable one!:D JUSTICE JETS FLY UP TO SPACE..
okays, got carried away, anyways.. Do go to the class email to check out the new font that would be used for our name and index number. We apologise for the sudden changes and everything! This was because the previous font consists of many thin lines and especially the fading off effects which would have caused the words to have many holes.. which, in turn, causes the names to peel, well, i don think you girls would like that right? and if you all still dont understand, the supplier is printing out the name and then ironing(i think) it on the shirt. So ive sourced for a nice (and cute) font which i think most probably should be okay. There is a link given in the email. Do click and check, don worry, there's no virus! btw, all the names would be in SMALL CAPS. Hi all!

Yes, I totally agree with Melisa and Dorcas. 1Justice has been an amazing class:) It is definitely been the best class I've ever been in all my life as a student. It seemed just like yesterday that I first stepped into 1Justice(the very first person I saw was Annabel) and thought that our class was pretty small. But I guess small is good. On the outside, 1Justice might seem lifeless and un-bonded to many teachers, but on the inside we all share an amazing bond that unites us more than ever. We might be quieter than other classes but I like that way. The way that we are different and unique. We all know that there will never be another class like 1Justice 0'9, next year's 1Justice and the many more 1Justice's to come will never be the same as this one. 2009's 1Justice has just made history!

Finally, I would to say a big thank-you to 1Justice! Thank-you for giving me the chance to be your welfare councillor and Literature rep. for the different terms respectively. It was a joy working with all of you and getting to know you better. I would like to thank my seating partners(Beatrice, Sandra and Nicole) for seating at the table beside mine. I know I haven't been the best councillor or leader so I'm really sorry for all the stupid stuff I've done. I know we might be separated next year but look on the bright side, we will still see each other right? Even thought we might have to really say good-bye in Sec 4, who knows? We might end up working under each other when we enter the "real world". In other words, I will remember this one-of-a-kind class called 1Justice made up of 34 pupils even after I leave St.Nicks.

Down Memory Lane

We've done it.

The year is finally over for 1 Justice! Next year, it is obvious that we'll be seperating :( But memories is what you all have left for me. Remember the first time I came into Justice? Everyone must have thought I was a nerd. And when Yong Yi rapped out her self-intro? And yes...when this un-enthu and unbonded class became the most united at the end. Though there were humps along the way, I'm glad we made it out together. It's hard to believe that all has ended. After I came home on Friday, I realised that we will never be the same Justice again--and it made me very sad. There are alot of guilty pangs for me too (I agree with Dorcas).

Sorry for every moronic destructing stupid lame thing I did this year!!!

I really want a class outing. I REALLY WANT A CLASS OUTING. I REALLY WANT A CLASS OUTING! Anyway, I will definitely miss this class. Since P1, this has probably been the best class I've ever been in. Thankyou all for giving me the chance to be your councillor. It has been amazing leading you all to reach our goals. It has been fulfilling to know that everyone Justician has left me deep impressions. I wish everyone all the best for 2010. Don't forget me and I won't forget you. I will always be proud of what everyone of us has acheived this year!

It's been a lovely time journeying through Secondary One in this past year together with all of you. Thankyou for all the lovely memories each and everyone of you brought :P
On Friday, I had this really strong sense of guilt.. If only I had treated everyone better, if only I had taken more time to know everyone, if only I cherished everyone...
But separation is inevitable in life and we have to face it. However sad, I'm glad that I've been placed in this class :D
Some things I would hope for everyone to improve on... I hope everyone would do their best in all circumstances and think for people around you-not trying to say anyone in specific, but as a whole. Love (friends) is constant giving and reaching out to others even without gaining recognition. Everytime we do something for another person, we're helping them. Can you imagine if you didn't get help from anyone, your life wouldn't be as it is now? At least for me...
Thankyou Secondary One Justice 2009 for everything and anything that you have contributed to the class or to anyone. And thankyou to those who helped me and aided me like a crutch through this arduous yet fruitful journey on my first year of Secondary life. My apologies for whatever trouble I caused!
May 2010 be a fresh new year for everyone to continue your Secondary Two life! Remember, Failure is the mother of success.. and complaining and whining won't get you anywhere in life, and be grateful for everthing! Even as we move to the holding site, or wherever place on Earth, I wish everyone the best of everything!

Hello!

Can you all believe it? It's the last eight days we'll be spending together as a class D: Of course some of us might still be in the same class, but we'll never be the same class again.
It's quite saddening to be separated from each other although we'll still be in the same school. I'm afraid... we might not say 'hi' to each other when we walk by, afraid... we might not..
There are too many things, but since we can't change the fact that we're going to be separated or the time factor, let's cherish... these EIGHT DAYS! It may be very long, or very short, but the time spent together, let's just simply treasure it. Indeed Secondary One Justice 2009 has affected the lives of every single student, and all 34 Justice Jets have contributed in every and any way they had! Obviously, Secondary One Justice will not be like that without the different important roles and committees, not forgetting the teachers though.
Yes, we had many fights and quarrels over certain matters, but the past is the past. We cannot change it. So, let's continue the journey to the future happily and I hope this one whole year of memories with Secondary One Justice would be etched in everybody's minds, never to be forgotten.
I also would like to thank everyone for their great and little contributions that have formed what Secondary One Justice is today. Perhaps you think that it would be better if you had joined another class, but it's perhaps God's will to bring us together as a whole celebrating in our talents and joys :D
As we disperse, I hope we do it cheerfully. I'll never forget Secondary One Justice 2009 and each and every Justice Jet. We are Justice Jets, and forever will be! I hope in 2010, we would still have gatherings together that all Justice Jets are present, and never forget one another :P

Hello :D

Indeed, we have really gone through humps, hills and mountains throughout this whole year which has passed in a lickety-split, but our undying spirit will always last, as an individual, as a team, and as a class!
I really wonder how many of us are going to come to this blog to visit often next year. Yes, treasure the moments, cherish the present, live life to the fullest.
Frankly, I admit too, that I was slightly annoyed by some classes for betraying their conscience to get a point. A one point. It's not for the Olympics, it's a GAMES CARNIVAL. It won't affect a life-long something. Ask yourself that, is it worth it? I'm glad none of us had done that, it's worse than losing many rounds. Well, we perform to our bests of our abilities, and even if the umpires give them the point, we can't do anything anyway. Also, we ourselves, and of course, all of them out there, know what we did. Anyway it's just a games carnival and they are not worth our anger. The best thing is, we have bonded, I must say. Our cheers overpowered others although the other class still won in the end, but the support and class spirit was simply awesome!

Hi all!! I must say we did have an exhilarating games carnival today! great job to the captains ball team and soccer team for getting into the semi-finals. Though we did not manage to win but in my perspective--YOU ALL ARE WINNERS!! And I totally agree with Serene. We have come such a long way and I must say we are very bonded. When we cheered the teams on today, I must say it was very touching. Thinking abou the time when we would have to go seperate ways saddens me. Our bond might fade after moving on next year but I will never ever forget 1 Justice because I wil always be proud of all of you all!! I think you have been my best class through my years. Great job to the table tennis, ultimate frisbee and floorball teams for doing well in the aspects of sporting excellence! So lets all treasure the time we have left and enjoy ourselves to the max on our excursions BUT safety first!! I love Sec 1 Justice!!

Hey all!

I realized that our blog is kind of dead since the last post, so I decided to post. Today was Games Carnival, hope you all enjoyed it! I'm really proud of Justice because we made so many remarkable achievements! Not just today but through the entire year. Who knows students who started out as strangers in a class called 1 Justice could eventually become what we are today? It's absolutely amazing! I guess we have forged and lost friendships in year 2009, but it doesn't matter. Like today, whether we liked each other or not, we were still bonded by class spirit. It doesn't matter whether we think other teams cheated or that we didn't win, all that really matters is the experience. By representing your class in an event is already a commendable feat. There are people out there who are so strongly against taking-part that they shut themselves up in the toilet or someplace just so no one will notice them. But we are different. Justice is a winner and will always be one. Because we are tough, bold, strong, united and brave. 1 Justice is more than just a class, it's a place for us to grow and learn from each other. It's filled with LIFE. That's how special we really are.

Hello.

It's me, again. So apparently, the enrichment consent forms are due on monday. For those that have not handed in, please bring by monday! The list is with Rachel, so yes. Also, if you haven't contributed to the class fund, as what Mrs. Seah had said, can pass it to Nathania.

Well, it's the weekends again, BUT, without homework :D So, just spend the time relaxing or reading. Then again, the results are coming one after another.

1) NASA prepares to 'bomb' the moon to search for water

NASA is preparing a violent return to the moon Friday as part of a mission to send a satellite and a rocket booster crashing into the planet's surface to look for water.

Conspiracy theories aside -- a 'do not bomb the moon' website is already campaigning against the move -- there is no actual bomb, but the US space agency's LCROSS satellite and heavier Centaur upper-stage rocket will still leave huge impact sites where NASA hopes to find evidence of water or ice.

At 1130GMT, the rocket and four minutes later the spacecraft will separately race into the moon at 9,000 kilometres per hour to kick up approximately 10km of lunar dirt from the Cabeus crater floor near the planet's south pole.

The flash that will follow the impact will last about 30 seconds.

A camera mounted on the 891kg Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) will beam live footage back to Earth.

The carnage is also the first preparatory mission of the Constellation programme that aims to bring Americans back to the moon by 2020.

"We don't anticipate anything about presence or absence of water immediately. It's going to take us some time," cautioned Anthony Colaprete, project scientist and principal investigator for the LCROSS mission, which has a 79-million-US-dollar budget.

Colaprete projected it would take several days for analysts to evaluate the data and several weeks to determine whether and how much hydrogen-bearing compounds were found.

For those hoping to catch a bare-eyed glimpse of the impact, the scientist had sad news.

"It's not going to be a grand spectacle that you can go outside in your back yard and see with your bare eyes or even a good binoculars. It's going to be too faint," said Colaprete.

More powerful telescopes around the world and also the Hubble Space Telescope will nevertheless get a good view as they focus on the giant cloud of debris.

NASA scientists will be looking at what spews out after 350 tonnes of debris are ejected from the cold, dark Cabeus crater, staking its hopes on water in the form of ice.

The crater is 100km across and between 2.5km to 4km deep.

"We're hunting for how water ice was stored and trapped in these permanently shadowed areas over billions of years and we want to find out how much there is," explained Peter Schultz, a professor of geological sciences at Brown University who helped design the mission.

The mission comes just two weeks after India hailed the discovery of water on the Moon with its Chandrayaan-1 satellite mission in partnership with NASA.

Scientists had previously theorized that, except for the possibility of ice at the bottom of craters, the moon was totally dry.

Finding water on Earth's satellite would be a major breakthrough in space exploration and pave the way toward future lunar bases for drinking water or fuel, or even man living on another planet.

"This could be the place that we could go to mine water for a permanent lunar base," said Schultz.

"It tells us something about how water was delivered to the moon and other planets in a sort of cosmic rain, meaning impacts from comets over eons."

But much uncertainty surrounds NASA's future dealings with the moon, as key review panel appointed by President Barack Obama's administration said existing budgets bar a return to the cold planet before 2020.

2) Beauty queen Ris Low remains positive about life despite bad publicity

Former Miss Singapore World Ris Low has clarified comments in media reports where she said stealing credit cards was fun.

Speaking to Channel NewsAsia in an exclusive interview, Ms Low said her actions were the result of her bipolar disorder.

The beauty queen gave up her crown last month after it was revealed that she was convicted of credit card fraud.

She said she has learnt a lot from the saga and that despite the bad publicity, she remains positive in life.

She said: "I don't mean that stealing credit cards was fun. But the thrill that I felt - the feeling that I got from stealing credit cards was there. That was what I was trying to explain. But it's not that I am encouraging young people to steal credit cards or anything like this.

"When you have bipolar, you're always out to seek adventure, to seek something new, something fun and something that's out of the world that nobody can do. Something that is totally out the world and you have such a hot passion for."

Ris also reiterated that she did not cheat in her exams.

She said: "That's one thing I want to correct. It was just pieces of paper and irrelevant notes found inside my pencil box. And I was about to hand in the paper when they were found. This is something that I want to say to everybody, that I didn't have the intention to cheat."

When asked how she felt that people did not believe her side of the story, Ris said: "What I'm saying is the truth. It's up to you to believe it or not. I don't have the time or that much energy to explain to you what I have to say and what I have to deal with. I have enough things on my hands already. So, it's fine if you don't believe me."

So how does Ris handle her urge to steal?

She said: "I don't think I have the urge to steal anymore because now I am more of a shopaholic. So I overspend. I tend to spend my mom's money like nobody's business."

Despite the bad publicity, the 19-year-old remains positive in life and when asked what she plans to do in future, she said: "If I can, I would like to open up a cake shop.......And another one of my dreams is to be a nurse where I can help everybody and give back to society."

Ris added that even if she were given a second chance, she would not want to change anything.

"Everything that has happened to me has made me grow up, made me tougher, made me stronger, which is why I am standing here right now and standing tall, head high up. I think that's what's most important."

3) 'Extraordinary' Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

US President Barack Obama sensationally won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday just nine months into his term, prompting world leaders to urge him to use the accolade to step up efforts for global peace.

The jury hailed Obama's "extraordinary" efforts in international diplomacy and to hasten nuclear disarmament, but criticism surged quickly over how the award could be given so soon.

The US leader, 48, said he was "humbled" by the distinction.

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the Nobel jury said in making the stunning announcement.

A gasp went through the Nobel Institute in Oslo as Obama's name was read out.

The committee attached "special importance to Obama's vision and work for a world without nuclear weapons" and said he had created "a new climate in international politics".

Obama took office on January 20 and has sought to restore US standing after widespread criticism over the war in Iraq and the world superpower's attitude to efforts to control global warming.

The first African American president has brought the Israeli and Palestinian leaders together for a meeting, approved new diplomatic engagement with Iran, Myanmar and North Korea and signalled a new willingness to attack growing environmental problems.

Obama went to Cairo to make a major speech on relations with the Muslim world, badly tarnished by President George W Bush's order to invade Iraq. At the United Nations, he has launched an initiative to reduce the number of nuclear weapons.

The US president was awoken at 6:00 am at the White House by his spokesman to be told of the award. An administration official quoted Obama as saying he felt "humbled".

Obama was honoured "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the head of the Norwegian Nobel Committee Thorbjoern Jagland said, adding that it was "a unanimous decision".

The jury said: "Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations," it said.

"Thanks to Obama's initiative, the US is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic changes the world is confronting."

The committee said it was seeking to encourage Obama's ideals rather than recognise concrete results.

Speaking to AFP, Jagland said: "It was unavoidable to give the prize to the man who has improved the international climate and emphasised negotiations and dialogue."

"Before he took office the situation was so dangerous. Step by step he has given the message to the world that he wants to negotiate on all conflicts, strengthen the United Nations and work for a world without any nuclear arms."

German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed the award, calling it an "incentive to the president and to us all" to do more for peace.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation agreed.

"We trust that this award will strengthen his commitment, as the leader of the most powerful nation in the world, to continue promoting peace and the eradication of poverty," it said.

The UN said it hoped the prize would encourage Obama to commit to an international treaty on global warming, and the head of the Arab League, Amr Mussa, said he hoped it would "help intensify efforts to reach peace in the Middle East and contain negative efforts opposed to peace".

A spokesman for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tehran hoped it would give Obama "the incentive to walk in the path of bringing justice to the world order".

UN's nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei, another past Peace Prize winner, said Obama had "transformed the way we look at ourselves and the world we live in and rekindled hope for a world at peace with itself".

"President Obama has provided outstanding leadership on moving towards a world free of nuclear weapons," he said.

But Poland's anti-communist leader Lech Walesa, who won the 1983 Nobel Peace Prize, said it was too early to reward Obama now.

"Who, Obama? So fast? Too fast - he hasn't had the time to do anything yet," Walesa told reporters in Warsaw.

"For the time being Obama's just making proposals. But sometimes the Nobel committee awards the prize to encourage responsible action."

In Afghanistan, Taliban militia spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid condemned the prize, saying, "We have seen no change in his strategy for peace. He has done nothing for peace in Afghanistan."

Asked whether it was too early to give Obama the prize, Jagland replied: "If you look at the history of the Peace Prize, we have on many occasions given it to try to enhance what many personalities were trying to do."

"The decision to go to Afghanistan had a unanimous UN mandate. The conflict in Afghanistan concerns us all. This is not only the responsibility of Barack Obama but hopefully this improved international climate could help resolve the conflict," he said.

Obama is the third US president in office to win the award, after Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Former US president Jimmy Carter won the prize in 2002.

The gold medal, diploma and a cheque for 10 million Swedish kronor (1.42 million dollars, 980,000 euros) will be presented in Oslo on December 10, the anniversary of the death in 1896 of the prize creator, Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel.

4) Shower heads can spray dangerous bacteria

Shower heads can deliver a face full of dangerous pathogens, according to a study published Monday which found them to be ideal breeding grounds for bacteria.

US researchers analyzed 50 shower heads from nine different cities and found 30 per cent harbored significant levels of a pathogen linked to lung disease called mycobacterium avium.

While the pathogen is common in municipal water systems, the levels found clinging to shower heads in slimy "biofilms" were more than 100 times higher than the "background" levels in the water.

"If you are getting a face full of water when you first turn your shower on, that means you are probably getting a particularly high load of Mycobacterium avium, which may not be too healthy," said lead author Norman Pace, a microbiologist at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Pace's team began studying shower heads after research at the National Jewish Hospital in Denver found that recent increases in pulmonary infections from so-called "non-tuberculosis" mycobacteria species like M. avium may be linked to people taking more showers and fewer baths.

That's because water spurting from shower heads can distribute pathogen-filled droplets that are easily inhaled into the deepest parts of the lungs.

"There have been some precedents for concern regarding pathogens and shower heads," said Pace. "But until this study we did not know just how much concern."

Immune-compromised people like pregnant women, the elderly and those fighting off other diseases are most at risk of developing pulmonary disease caused by M. avium.

The symptoms include tiredness, a persistent, dry cough, shortness of breath, weakness and "generally feeling bad," Pace said.

The researchers sampled shower heads in public facilities, houses and apartment buildings in New York, Illinois, Colorado, Tennessee and North Dakota.

They found lower levels of pathogens in smaller towns and cities which used well water rather than municipal water.

They also found that metal shower heads harbored far fewer pathogens than plastic shower heads.

The results do not indicate that people should switch from showers to baths, said co-author Laura Baumgartner, also of the University of Colorado.

"Is it dangerous? Getting out of bed is dangerous," she said in a telephone interview.

"Everywhere you go there are microbes."

Switching to a metal shower head, especially one with a filter than can be changed regularly, can help reduce the buildup of pathogens.

Stepping outside the room for a minute after turning the shower on can also reduce the likelihood of inhaling pathogens that get pushed out of the shower head with the first burst of water, she said.

"For the average person, you shouldn't not be worried at all."

The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

So I see, Review Tests are... officially OVER!

Anyway, nothing you do after the test will change your mark for it so don't agonise. Do something relaxing, something you know you'll enjoy.

After you've had a break, it's worth reviewing your performance. Remember that the aim here is not to agonise over 'what you could have done' but rather to identify where you can improve your results next time. Reflect:

Were you sufficiently prepared?
Which areas of revision could you improve?
Was stress management an issue?
Did you manage your time in the test effectively?

Also, after the papers have been marked, it may be useful to work with a tutor, other students or a learning skills adviser to identify where you could have gained extra marks.

Things to do:

1) Ask your parents' to sign the enrichment consent form!

-Hand in, latest by Monday! Or shall I say, tomorrow.

Post Exam Tips:

Start sorting out and organising any notes, books or paperwork you will need to have ready for the next academic term. This is best done early on. Not only will it take your mind off of the wait for the test results, it will also make sure you don't have any last minute panics before the next term begins.
Formulate and write down three plans- one for if you do as well or better than you need to in your tests, one for if you do worse than you needed to but not horrifically badly and one for if worst really does come to worst! Sometimes, when you're nervous or upset, you can start to make silly and illogical choices!
Make plans to celebrate when the results come out, no matter if you did good or bad. It will give you something to look forward instead of just fearing the day.
Try not to go over the test in depth straight afterwards. Some people find it comforting to talk to friends a little about what they wrote whereas some find it much better not to talk about the test at all. However, going over the test in great depth, no matter how tempting it is to do so, will only highlight points you didn't do so well on but can't change and will unnecessarily stress you out.
If you find yourself nit-picking over a small part of the test, stop and put things into perspective. It is very rarely that one small mistake means the difference between a pass and a fail.
Don't go through your notes looking for the answers to the tests. You can't change what you've written now.
A little bit of stress is a normal part of life. However, if you think you're stress is getting out of control, talk to somebody NOW! If you think stress is causing you serious medical problems, such as significant sleep problems or if you have become suicidal, please don't hesitate in going to see a doctor or psychiatrist.
Promise Yourself It Won't Happen Again. Tell yourself that next time, you'll be prepared and properly educated on the test topic. Believe in yourself and make sure you stick to your word. You can prevent it from happening again by paying more attention, studying harder, and/or just trying to learn as much as you can.
Talk to a parent or teacher. It may sound silly, but once you choose the right adult, things can go pretty smoothly!
Talk to a Friend who you know will understand. It may seem pointless and a waste of time, but just getting everything off your chest can really help. Confide in your friend about why you feel bad, what specifically is getting you down-every detail.
Distract Yourself. Keep yourself busy all the time. Don't leave yourself with any time to start thinking about the test, or you'll start feeling down again. It's good to get your feelings out, but after that's over, accept life and move on.
Do Something to Make You Laugh. Whether it be hanging out with your friends, watching a funny T.V show or reading a joke book, do something that you know will make you laugh. You may not feel like it at first, but once you get into it, you'll feel better.
Do An Activity That Makes You Feel Good About Yourself. Try exercising-Exercise often gives you a boost in not only health and energy, but confidence and happiness. You can hang out with your friends, draw, write, read-anything that makes you personally feel better about yourself.
Pamper Yourself.

3)Exercise helps the brain "grow" new brain cells, so get moving!! It helps by increasing the blood flow to the brain, which carries oxygen and other necessary nutrients.

4) Learn something new every day. When you do, you flood your brain with blood and chemicals that brain cells use to communicate. New brain cells must get these nutrients to survive.

5) Find a way to reduce the stress in your life. When you are stressed, the body produces cortisol, which slows the production of new brain cells.

I don't really know what's going on, but I know that it's going to be Term4, and well, the remaining times we can spend together is limited. I agree with Melisa. Everyone has their cliques and enemies, but this is a class afterall. Look, it's our bonding session and our party, but so many arguments and all that. We should learn to see things from a different perspective, a different point of view. Maybe after we see the different side of it, we would learn how to appreciate and know the kind intentions of everyone. Of course we are made up of different committees and different people. Human societies are characterized by patterns of relationships between individuals that share a distinctive culture or institutions. Like other groups, a society allows its individual members to achieve individual needs or wishes that they could not fulfill separately by themselves, without the existence of the social group. Aren't we just like a society?
Yes, let's just cherish the times we can spend together. And it does not matter who contributes more right? Life is unfair, but it is more blessed to give than to receive. In the end, it's not going to be how much we get, we'll still have to leave this earth. When you give, it inspires others, and you get satisfaction and happiness. Isn't that better? Perhaps you don't agree with me, but still, yes.
The effort by everyone is greatly appreciated, just that I think the arguments are unnecessary. Hope everyone would enjoy the games and food, and the presence of everyone. To organise something is indeed very tough, so we can just try to accommodate what they have and yes, try to help and contribute in any way.
I hope we would not bear grudges and have a fun bonding session together tomorrow!

Hi everyone. Ok, I know the recent frenzy with the class party and all. And I don't really want to get involved with who asked who and blahs. Seriously, earlier today I was very pissed off but I guess I learn not to be. I think due to some change of venue, the activities were changed. So they're fixed at bowling and swimming. And if I'm not wrong, there's water bombs too. And you know something, when it comes to hosting something you should take and accept. Just because someone criticised you, you are going to retort till everyone sways? And sometimes, though you might not mean it, but the wrong use of words would give others the wrong idea. The most important would probably be the fact that having a party does not necessarily mean that everyone would agree with your terms and abide by it. People are not robots, we have our own thoughts, terms and mind too. If you want to get something done, never give up. You cannot expect everything to be a piece of cake you know. And one more thing, DO NOT assume. Say what you know only. A class party is supposed to bond right? But yet, over this party we fall out. From now onwards, I would really love to see the welfare commitee work together with the class and those they asked to help to achieve what we all hope for! There're loads more stuff I want to say, but if I keep ranting I'll never get this done. I hope tomorrow's party would be fun. It would be held at Isabelle's house. Bring your needed stuff, and bring money. Bring the food you were supposed to bring.

Hey there. Basically, from the info I've collected, we would be swimming and later also bowling at the Orchid Country club. So if you don't want to bowl or don't want to swim, you can sit and stone since there is currently nothing arranged for ya'll to do. But according to Isabelle, there is a playground with those caves and ball pens etc. Also to those who are swimming, please please take care in the pool okk. If anything happens, though Isabelle says it's impossible, I'll probably kill myself. So if you don't want to see me dead and gone, take care in the pool because anything can happen okk. And by and large take care too. This is supposed to be fun outing so please make sure you all play and be safe too. Sercurity is my noche after all and everyone must be safe okkk!!!! Hi everyone! It's me again, after a very long time. Yesterday was the last day of school and on Monday we would begin our very extremely short holiday:( Regarding the class outing/party, let's all say a big thank you to Beatrice and Ayana(sorry if I missed anyone out) for treating the class to bubble tea. I am not sure if they would want payment but personally, I think it is only polite to offer payment for your drink as money does not grow on money plants. Secondly, if you have written down your preferred flavour for your bubble tea, the welfare committee would then assume that you are attending the class outing/party as how else would you get your drink? Hence, please turn up or else your drink might go to waste. Also, attendance wise, we really strongly encourage all of you to attend this outing/party, but if really cannot make it due to unforeseen circumstances or other commitments, it is alright but please let us know in advance or by the event itself. Next, please remember to wear something that you are comfortable in for the party/outing as we do not want anyone to rip their pants or shorts during whatever game. Lastly, remember to contribute enthusiastically, participate actively and most importantly, have loads of FUN!

Yet another term has passed. Sighs. More tests, more stress. This term has really passed quickly, this i have to agree. However, term four is going to be STRESSFUL and BUSY and FAST. Hello :D

Indeed, this Teachers' Day Holiday is not like a holiday. Well, the rainy weather is a good time for sleeping! Okay, anyway yesterday's celebration was.. kind of fun? Although there were still lessons and homework :O

It's the last week of the term, and term 4 is going to mark the end of our SecOne life D: Of course, we sure will miss each other when we part in sec two, so cherish the times together! Term 4 is also going to be the toughest term, having all the review tests. Yupp. And I know there are many things that everyone is upset with, but afterall, it has happened and well, just have to forgive and forget! Regarding her, I guess she have thought about it, and who knows what happened, because there were no eyewitnesses or evidence. According to my observation, she dislikes being here, because everyone does not think and care about her. Actually, we just have to think if we were in her shoes. Behind her flaws, there will be positive points, and maybe we could change our perspective, our point of view. Her behaviour may be due to her background or just something that caused it. Everything has a reason, right?

Okay, I think I'll post about Monday's Teachers' Day Celebration although it's supposed to be the councillors' job to inform everyone. I hope no teacher reads this :O

Firstly, we'll be seating on the track, at the same place where we sat during the handing down of leadership positions, beside the teachers. Except that the teachers would be seating in the middle. Okay, then there will be 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' Competition for the teachers. I think all the PPRs have been like given out already DDDDDDD: , and it's been a really arduous 3 terms for us. New environment, new teachers, new friends, new cca, almost everything is new. My results have been deproving =.=, got a C for art :'( Spoilt my report card. But anyway, what can we do? As long as we've tried our best, it's worthwhile the effort and we have to move on, don't we? Perhaps sometimes is the teacher's fault, or maybe it's our fault most of the times. We have just to use our best of our abilities. Academics are not the most important, but character is. For what happened today (should know), don't tell anyone about it. Hi all! As you all should remember, today I reminded the class about the nametag thing. Yup, so please bear in mind what I said. Ahem. If you FORGOT to wear your nametag for assembly/LOST your nametag/your nametag is SPOILT/you DID NOT even BOTHER to wear your nametag admist many other reasons, you still have to buy one as long as I don't see you with your nametag in the morning and you don't have it anywhere in your pocket. So, please please make sure you have money with you to buy a nametag and if you borrow, RETURN the money!! Oh yes, how was the Narrative test today? I think I probably flunked mine. Once again, I repeat- for this homework, we have to do a summary for EACH of the fictional stories, around 150 words per summary. The summaries have to be on school foolscap.

STORY ONE

The break-in

It was late, about midnight. A full moon lurking behind a thick veil of angry clouds peered through momentarily. A slim figure prowling in the darkness tapped his watch. The damned thing had stopped again. The front door opened, and he ducked hastily behind a bush near the front gate. In the stillness, he heard the plaintive cries of a cat being unceremoniously evicted. What on earth were they doing up so late? He hadn't counted on this. The lounge room light was still on. He crept forward across the damp grass towards the window and cautiously peered in.
The old man was watching television. He couldn't see the woman. An expensive brown leather chesterfield stood proudly along the edge of a large blue and gold. Persian floor rug. The man reached out for his full cognac glass on the table. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous sprang to mind. The television set was one of those new brands with the extra-large screen and stereo speakers. Very hard to carry. On top of it was a small video recorder. He wondered where they kept the camera.
One wall was lined with heavy, leather-bound volumes, interspersed with a variety of ornaments. He wondered what their value might be. A large, gilt-framed oil painting of a cattle muster took pride of place on the wall fathest from the window. Was it an original?
The woman appeared carrying a large tray, on which sat a silver teapot (real silver?), two dainty china cups and a plate of cream biscuits. Didn't they do things in style around here!
He ran nimbly around the side of the house. A shiny Mercedes was blocking the driveway. Why wasn't it locked in the garage? He glanced towards the end of the driveway. Because the gates were locked, that's why. No doubt with one of those new-fangled electronic devices with which he had no experience. While he was planning his next move, the heavens erupted in a downpour of immense magnitude. Lightning streaked across the sky and the moon scurried for shelter behind another heavy, rain-bearing cloud. He cursed, wishing that he had brought a thicker jacket, and ran around to the rear of the house, seeking shelter. The back door was locked, as was the garage. He returned wearily to the front of the house, and sought refuge under the striped canvas awning stretched over the lounge room window. He squatted, wrapping his arms around himself for warmth and, not for the first time that evening, wondered why he had allowed himself to be talked into this.
The front door opened again and he heard the woman calling "Puss, puss". Well, you couldn't have a cat with wet, muddy paws trampling all over the Persian rugs, could you?
He shivered, wishing he was safely tucked up in his soft, warm bed. He had been grounded for a month for staying out late and for his careless choice of friends, in his mother's considered opinion. For once, he wished he had oveyed her. This was no weather for nocturnal enterprises.
His brother would kill him if he knew what he was up to. So would his parents. Well, if it didn't stop raining soon, he'd probably catch pneumonia and save them all the bother.
As if reading his mind, the rain stopped as abruptly as it had started, and the lounge room light, reflecting on the grass before him, disappeared. At least, he thought, they've gone to bed. He waited a respectable time and then crept around, carefully trying the windows and doors. Drat! All locked. Well, what could he expect? With all those valuables, they would hardly leave out the welcome mat. He stood back from the house. There had to be a way in. He wasn't about to give up now. What would his friends think?
He noticed the drainpipe. To one side was a window. Now, if only that window wasn't locked. He shinned up the pipe with youthful agility. Victory! It was open. What fools they were to think that it was safe to leave it unlocked just because it was on the second floor. They would think twice after tonight.
Very slowly he pushed up the window and crawled inside. The room was dark. He stood still as hiseyes adjusted to the darkness. Near him was an ironing board and opposite, a sewing desk. He removed his shoes and tiptoed towards the door. He gripped the handle, then froze as a male voice called out from the other side.
"Go to bed, and stop worrying. You're always hearing things."
A couple of doors closed and then there was silence. Slowly he turned the handle and the door swung open noiselessly. That was the beauty of these rich homes. They took care of things like squeaky hinges. He was in a corridor, and he tiptoed forward, more confident now, and with a triumphant grin on his face.
Then a dim light appeared beneath the second door. Didn't these people ever sleep?
Foorsteps. He darted back in to the room behind him and shut the door, cursing the squeaky floorboards beneath his feet. He stood, trembling with cold and fear, and held his breath.
"Please don't let me be caught now." he prayed. He pressed his ear to the door, straining to hear. There was silence. He took a step sideways and stumbled over something concealed in the dark.
Suddenly the door burst open and a figure pounced on him, knocking him to the floor. He cried out in pain as the man grabbed him in an armlock and pushed his face on to the cold, unforgiving floorboards. Another figure near the door switched on the light. It was the woman. She wore a pink flannel nightgown and held a high-heeled shoe in her hand. It was too late to regret his foolishness. He should have known he would never get away with it. He just wasn't cut out for this type of activity, and he wondered how his friends might have handled the situation.
He looked up, blinking into the bright light, and smiled sheepishly, "Hi, Mum!"

STORY TWO

Perfect Timing

A car thief and handbag snatcher from way back, Jimmy Burrowes wanted to move into the big time. "I've been watching Sergeant Garrison for months," he said to Wayne Hicks. "He's a creature of habit : does his rounds of the town at 10.30 every morning and pops into the First General Bank at 10.50. He's never there for more than a couple of minutes and his car is alwasy parked outside."
"Let me get this straight." Wayne scratched his head. "We're going to walk in and rob the bank at the same time that the copper is in there?"
"That's why it will work, Hicksy. No-one would expect anyone to rob the bank while the local sergeant is there. We go in behind him, tell everyone to freeze, and make Garrison throw down his pistol. And while the teller is stashing the cash from the safe into money bags, my mate Tony Palmer will be outside hot-wiring the cop car."
"We take off in the patrol car?" Wayne was still dubious.
"Just to the other side of town where my car is parked. We take the balaclavas off, switch to my car and take off. We'll be home free, Hicksy. And Sarge Garrison will be left high and dry with no means of giving chase."
Tony Palmer came by and showed Wayne how he could open the door of a locked car and then switch the ignition on. "It'll be a real pleasure working my magic on a cop car," he enthused. "I'm looking forward to it."
And the more Wayne thought about it, the more he realised the Jimmy's plan was foolproof, capitalising on the everyday routine of life in a country town.
Tony Palmer whistled as he drove home-because he had a little scheme of his own.
Friday, the day planned for the robbery, was warm and clear. Jimmy, Wayne and Tony left the car in quiet, shady Corrigan Lane and walked the four blocks to the First General Bank.
Sergeant Garrison didn't let them down. At 10.50 he parked the patrol car outside the bank and wandered in. Jimmy nodded to Wayne and they followed, drawing the pistols which Jimmy had provided.
"Everybody freeze!" Jimmy barked. "Sergeant, turn around slowly and drop your gun to the ground, I've got a pistol aimed at your head."
Silence hung in the air as the policeman turned slowly, and dropped his gun. Wayne told the teller, "Place all the cash from the safe into money sacks. Now!"
And as he spoke he heard the po,lice car engine roar into life outside. Tony had successfully worked his magic.
Two blocks away, Robyn Honeywell strolled into the branch office of the Network Building Society. There was one other customer, and two tellers behind the counter. The first of these flashed a ready smile at Robyn as she approached.
The smile crumbled suddenly into and expression of fear as the teller watched the serene, doe-eyed brunette take a pistol from her handbag.
"No need for a fuss," Robyn said quietly. "Fill a large money sack with cash. You've got one minute exactly before I start to panic and pull the trigger."
At the same moment that the building society teller turned to the safe, Jimmy and Wayne dashed out of the bank, each with a sack stuffed with bills.
There was the patrol car, its engine revving. Tony behind the wheel. As Jimmy's hand reached for the door handle, he saw a strange, mocking expression in Tony's eyes as he pressed his foot hard down on the accelerator and sped away.
For a few seconds, Jimmy and Wayne stood on the kerb, looking after the vanishing car.
But that was all the time Sergeant Garrison needed.Retrieving his pistol from the floor, he charged out of the bank. "Drop those guns and raise your hands in the air!"
He wondered why someone had chosen just this moment to steal the patrol car. "It's going to be one of those days," he thought. "I can just feel it."
Robyn walked down the street to Corrigan Lane. Tony, in the police car, was entering from the opposite end. They put the money sack into Jimmy's car and sped off.
Robyn removed the brunette wig, revealing her own head of short, blonde curls, as Tony took off his balaclava.
They doubled around the block and back into the main street. Robyn had parked her car here earlier. A place like this, where they could blend in with the activity on the main street, was the best spot to switch cars again. With the money sack wrapped in a rug, they got into Robyn's little car.
"Do you still think Jimmy will tell the cops you were his driver?" Robyn asked as they drove away.
"He'll dob me in for sure."Tony chuckled, "but they'll never believe him. I simplu tell the cops I've been at your place all morning. They've no reason not to accept your word. And there's nothing to connect you with the brunette who robbed the Network Building Society."
He flashed her a triumphant grin. "We've got our own small fortune all to ourselves, and you're rid of the boyfriend who's been threatening to mess up your face if you leave him. Jimmy will be put away for some time."
"And I get myself a new boyfriend into the bargain." Robyn laughed, thinking of their ideal alibi. There wasn't a shred of evidence to suggest that she hadn't been home all morning, in the company of Tony.
That was wwhen, from the corner of her eye, Robyn saw a whitish blur on the far side of the windscreen. Her breath caught in her throat. No, surely not! She hadn't noticed it when she'd got into the car. She hadn't seen the signs when she'd parked the car earlier.
Pegged under the windscreen wiper, its corners flappingin the wind, was a white parking ticket. On its surface, clearly visible, were the date and the exact time of the morning that the ticked had been made out.

Perhaps the tests in Term Three were more difficult.
Anyway, it's all over, isn't it? So we have to be resilient and move on.

If you ever need to go home early, please fill in the details of your early dismissal on the blue form from the second drawer of the teacher's desk, and you can ask me to help you with the rest. However, you have to get your parent's signature when you get home and staple the early dismissal form to the MC/Excuse letter.

Hey people!!! I was the 1st to read Rachel's post last night!! YAY!! kay... random... erm. i juz wanna say that all the counsillors n the welfare com are doing great job with class tee n stuff. But Justice, can u guyz try to help them out by giving them lesser pressure n stuff cos like because of the class tee, they already very stressed out. believe it or not some people really pisses me off ))):
i told you people that the design was due on last friday but due to the d&t and geography test
me and the welfare delayed till yesterday and there were a group of people just gave me the "you got meh?" look
you got the whole weekend designing a shirt that wouldn't take more than 1 hr long!!!
and also we had a free period yesterday but some were like i don't want to do leh, some were like please can we do our own things?!
if those people were like evangeline or odelia or people like belinda who designed previously or done it at home
there is not a need for you to do it during your free period
those who were not in school yesterday its ok, i extended for them
some like dorcas as she wasn't in school for last week, those who were not in school also had a deadline
people might say i biase cause some were here last week, example beatrice wasn't here yesterday but she gave me her design today, although she designed previously, she enlarged to let everyone see better:]
i went through the design just now...
some of the design was so carefully drawn and drawn with love
though some were drawn during the free period i can see that effort that was put in:]
but...
some were just simply sloppy
some were just 2 same design only adding extra stuff
i remember saying that the design has to be ORIGINAL...

you know who im mentioning about
this is not a post where i am scolding people, i hope those people can do some self reflection
those who put in effort i want to say a big thank you:]

Hi everyone! It's been a seriously long time since I last posted:) Anyways, I would like to bring up a problem about our beloved I Justice classroom, that is the MESSINESS. I have realized(for a long time now)that out classroom is very messy! There are tons of newspapers strewn across the ground and lots of litter like food wrappers and tissue papers on the floor. Hence, I would like to initiate a project where by everyone does a tiny clean-up for your own desk. You don't have to clean-up for your partner, just your own desk. You can still leave whatever you have on the floor now on the floor but please put them neatly and don't throw them around(especially newspapers.) When you walk around in class, please try not to kick people's things and pick up litter even if its not yours. Also, we are deciding on setting up a small recycling bin in class where you can throw your unwanted paper. Please try to reuse your old newspapers too, for example, lining your locker with it. Last but not least, please remember not to vandilise school property and participate actively in class! Thanks!

Please remember to bring your phrase book (make sure there are 300 words) and reading list tomorrow as we'll be going to the library and those are needed. From 12pm-12.30pm, Index Numbers 1-20 would be copying phrases into their phrase book from the teacher's resource. Index Numbers 21-34 would be reading some Asean stories. at 12.30pm, we'll be switching.
Regarding the three fiction stories, everyone has to do a 150-word summary for EACH story on a sheet(s) of foolscap paper. Thus, it'll be 450 words altogether. This is due next Tuesday, 25 August 2009. Do make sure it is completed by then.
And as everyone can see, the whiteboard is experiencing some kind of vandalism, thus, those who have baking soda at home, do bring. (Melisa's secret recipe for cleaning boards)
Remember, Physics Expression of Thought is due on Friday! :O
Literature-Drama Integrated Poem is due tomorrow, and drama practical would be next drama lesson, tuesday.
Basically, there are many things which are to be done-all are written on the whiteboard. Check the LOOK board for more information on current affairs.
Daily duty are also required to be done.
Oh and, bring your MCs and excuse letters if you were absent and did not pass it to me/Mrs Seah.
One last thing, whoever that is late on any day, please give an excuse letter the next day and pass it to either Mrs Seah or me.

NATIONAL DAY!!!!

Hi everyone! Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy National Day!! Anyway, regarding the Angel&Mortal game, don't worry it's really easy to play! You just need to make sure you write all the time! Some of us are already doing it in our CCA and we find that our angel doesn't write to us and we don't write to our mortal too, but I think it'll definitely work better in class, since during busy times, we all are busy and during free times, we all are free too. Like in LD, I have to write to a Sec 4 girl, but I don't know wether I sould write becuse she's having her GCE O'levels and my Sec 3 beautiul+cool angel stop writing!! The seniors are all so busy :( Butit'll definitely be different in Justice so show enthusiasm!! But just one point to remeber, PLEASE, this isn't a "criticism+anger ranting" system. You don't spill your anger over a note and dump it to your mortal!! You have to write nice stuf becuase that's why it's called angel&mortal! Oh and please read Dorcas's post--it's very important!!

I guess this is a rather informal post, because all along I have been posting about homework, reminders or class matters.
How's today's national day celebration? Although we didn't win the national decoration competition, we put in lots of effort! i think we were like 4th? Okay. Anyway, eat the apples and don't say the souvenir is ugly. Because the school put in lots of effort to produce the souvenirs and if you say it's ugly, why don't you produce it? Same for the class t-shirt. I mean, apparently we should be enthusiastic about the class matters! Don't you feel the spirit lacking? We should be united and stand strong. And just for a reminder, geography-history integrated coursework is due on tuesday by 2.00pm or marks would be deducted! Remember to bring it and pass it to Annabel or Yi Yi on Tuesday. And if you forgot to bring your science worksheet (like me D:) pass it to Yi Jing on Tuesday. Anyway, hope you'll enjoy your national day holiday! Hello everyone :)

Having seen the previous posts, I believe you all know the class spirit is lacking in 1 justice. Hopefully we can build it up slowly. Regarding the National Day Decorations, I hope next time you all would participate actively. Although for the poster competition I wasn't present for the last few days, I thank Rachel, Serene and Melisa! When you step in the class tomorrow and see the beautiful designs, you would feel our hard work staying back a few days and rushing to get materials. Oh and if anyone has a big National Day flag, do bring it, we need it for the decorations. Regarding the class T-shirt, I mean the colour doesn't really matter as long as it is presentable and you are proud of our class you would be able to wear it? Rachel and the welfare put in lots of effort rushing to the company or shop to try get this done by tomorrow, but unfortunately it is impossible, thus can we still purchase it at $16.50 and show your enthusiasm for the class? Well if you happen to read Melisa's post, i think it is really significant and important. We should really reflect and take into account what we contributed to the class and what troubles we give to the class. For everything everyone has done for you, be really appreciative and accept what everyone wants. We do it for the benefit of everyone, not just yourself. I hope we would be more united and harmonious and get along well. I hope to see more class spirit and enthusiasm from everyone!

I must say I'm really disappointed about our class's response to the class tee thing. I wonder if you people could at least be more appreciative of what the councillors do. We cannot accomodate every single person in Justice, it is pratically impossible. You all voted for Rachel and Belinda's design right? Majority wins, this is only fair. All of us are in competitive CCAs, and we should know we can't always win. So it doesn't mean that just because we didn't vote for that design so we aren't buying that shirt. This is a class thing you know. Every class is supposed to have a class tee, and it's not called a class tee for nothing. A class tee is meant for everyone in the class to wear, even if you only wear it once, what is the biggie? And I don't see any reason why you cannot wear it again. And everyone belongs in Justice ok, the councillors even have to resort to buying shirts for some people so they would wear. And some wouldn't even want to wear the shirt even if they have it for free. I can accept it if some find the price too expensive and have difficulty buying it, but some other reasons given are seriously very childish. Do you know that some of us worked very hard just so we could get a class tee for you all, but yet some just don't get what appreciating means. I'm not scolding anyone, I just need some of us to do self-reflection. I don't think that this post can be classified as 'harsh' because some of us really did hurt others feelings with both harsh words and actions.

Hi Justice! So the tide's here, and everyone wants to catch it. The photo-taking is finally here and we don't have a class tee or jacket. AND I REALLY WANT ONE. And if you all really want a class tee or/and jacket, we have to decide on the design really soon! And place orders asap. Today is Saturday and we probably won't have ample time for a class jacket so if we order it would probably be a tee. Hello Justice. I just realised I haven't posted in billons of seconds. Anyway regarding what Dorcas had written, please do all take note and improve in whatsoever way you can. Anyway, as you all know, I'm supposedly in charge of Justice's spotchecks and simple discipline. Please read the following carefully:

Guidelines for spotchecking

- Please make sure you have your belts sewn at all times, not at the sides, not in the front, not anywhere except the back and no gluing or stapling, please

- "SNGS" on the socks must be visible but if it's covered a bit since some of our shoes are high, it's alright

- Nails should be short and tidy, no polish not even clear and no polish doesn't mean it can be coloured with markers

- Hair must be neat and tidy short hair should not past the collar if not you have to tie it up hair accecories should be black or dark blue and plain

- No earrings

- SPOTCHECKS WILL BE CARRIED OUT WITHOUT ANY EARLY NOTIFICATION so if you're untidy and have broken rules, go crazy

Guidelines for security

- No running as fast as trackers in the class

- No jumping as far as long jumpers in class

- No throwing stuff as far and high as shotput players

- No playing hero and leaping off tables and chairs

- Backyard is dangerous DO NOT play near the rock pool

- NEVER climb up the steep steep slope to climb over the fence

- NEVER sit on the railing or lean too far out

- Please report any missing items or vandalism immediately

- Please report any mischief of claamates immediately

- IF CAUGHT DOING THE ABOVE STUFF FOR PURE FUN.....

- Always keep class tidy and neat

- Do not litter

Hello :)

Today was O' level Chinese Listening Comprehension. Our class was used for some of the candidates. I would like to tell you'll if anything like that occurs again, please note that you we have to clear up effeciently. We could only finish cleaning up at 1.25pm. Walking pass Diligence, their class was also used as a holding room. But did you hear them making noise? And please be considerate too.. When I was sweeping the floor, I saw lots of paper, post-it and rubbish on the floor. Please note that the Cleaner Aunties and Uncles have to clean lots of classes and toilet, thus, please make their jobs easy and do your duty! There was also a Jasmine Green Tea bottle at the corner of the class behind Odelia's seat.

Oh and please do the things that Mrs Sushilla asked you'll to do:

1) Bring the 2 paragraphs of lesson starters which was homework.
2) Bring Chinese Cinderella and read Chapters 13-14
3) Print your Lesson Starter Forum post and your comment from edulearn. If you are unable to do so, you can ask me or someone else to help you print.
4) Read RDasia pg 126-138, 25-26
5) Read RDasia pg 5 for instructions on Youth Writing Competition. You do not have to enter but Mrs Sushilla will assign some people tomorrow.

All these have to be done if not you will be chased out of the class.

For the poster competition, we will try to discuss about that in class. But mainly, everyone has to participate.

And once again, please get ready for lessons which we would need to change venues! And please walk FAST.

Hope everyone is healthy and well and coping well in school.

Some reminders...

1) This week you'll are supposed to only eat fruits during break time, and eat more fruits and vegetables.. don't forget to exercise regularly too!
2) Design and Technology test notes are up on edulearn, pls print the e-learning one too! It's included in the test and we have to self-study..
3) Art ppt and worksheet is uploaded.
4) Bring Youth Appeal Envelope with money tomorrow to donate to the unfortunate youth.
5) Do the survey on edulearn by Friday
6) Malay Dance Competition is cancelled.
7) Please be quick when moving from one destination to another because we are always late nowadays, and you'll don't want to miss fun lessons right?
8) If you are unwell, please do not come to school.
If you have very similar symptoms of H1N1, you should stay at home for 7-10 days. If not, if you just have fever only, you can come back after your fever subsides and you are well and fit enough to come to school.
9) During the second temperature-taking, we seek your co-operation to queue up and please take your temperature! Do not lie to us just because you want to go for early recess.

Firstly, Happy Youth Day! Enjoy the holiday and maybe do some homework and revision.

Yin&Yang=Justice

Today, after collecting the keys, I decided to take a little stroll outside the sec1 classes. I started at Faith and ended at Justice. Of all the classes I took a look at, I must say the councillors have all done a great job at discipline. When I came to Justice, majority was seated and the noise level was low. This is what I called our Yang-the warm part. It was very rewarding, and everyone must keep it up!! And if you remember the orientation camp, we won most united-and I think we still are. Remeber the speech? And next up is the malay dance, and vice versa, I hope you all would our class representatives as much of the support as you gave me during the speech. And if you really want to see how united you are, I'll cry if you all are because I'll be so touched :) So this is our Yang. And for our Yin. Please walk faster and leave the class faster!!! We should not be late for lessons as lessons are really important-they're the reason we caome to school and pay school fees for. Also, I need to lock the door especially during recess-please exercise your consideration for me :) Oh and a very gentle reminder everybody: DO NOT RUSH FOR THE PIZZA PLEASE ONLY TAKE A SECOND HELPING WHEN YOU ARE SURE THOSE WHO WANT IT HAS TAKEN IT ALREADY and I'm sure we'll all have a fantastic time!

Some reminders...

Hello,

So school has reopened, and a semester has passed. And There are 701 cases as of yesterday(30June). Well, everyone take care of yourselves. Remember to wear PE t-shirt tomorrow because Assembly will be replaced by PE as it was taken on Monday. Regarding the class t-shirt Beatrice mentioned, I think we'll get everyone to design then pick the best one because it should be compulsory for every secondary class to have. And we will remember this class when we are separated next year.
Please have social responsibility and do not come to school if you are sick. Please refer to the brochure for the symptoms of H1N1.
There would be a pizza treat from Mrs Sushilla tomorrow during recess if you don't know. The pizza would be collected earlier, then if you want the pizza, stay in class and then we may go to the canteen as a class. Please be fast unless you don't want the pizza.
And a reminder, when we are moving from different venues of classes, please move as fast as you can. If you realise, we are always late for lessons especially d&t, when we're always late for almost 15minutes. If you are not coming to school, please pass the excuse letter or MC to me the next day.
